About The Position

As a Security Guard - Armed Utilities Patrol Driver in Gibsonton, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. Join Allied Universal supporting a utilities location as an armed patrol officer in a driving post. You will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to alarms and service requests with calm, professional communication. You will document observations, complete reports using site technology, and build strong relationships through teamwork and integrity in a caring, people-first culture.

Requirements

  • Armed Guard Card/License required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a utilities location.
  • Perform armed patrol duties in accordance with post orders and applicable laws, helping to deter unauthorized access, theft, and/or disruptive activity.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with site leadership and/or first responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, operational areas, and the perimeter, monitoring for unusual conditions such as open doors, damaged fencing, and/or suspicious activity.
  • Complete detailed incident reports, patrol logs, and other documentation, and communicate observations through radio, phone, and/or written channels.
