About The Position

As a Security Guard Armed - School Response in Rock Hill, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an Armed Security Officer supporting an educational location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond professionally to security-related concerns. You will build positive relationships with students, staff, and visitors while delivering exceptional customer service and clear communication. Requirements

Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Have at least 5 years of security-related experience.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and campus stakeholders by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established school district protocols.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols of school buildings, parking areas, athletic facilities, grounds, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
Monitor access points and visitor activity, report suspicious behavior or policy violations, and communicate observations to appropriate personnel and emergency responders.
Maintain required reports and documentation for incidents, patrols, and security-related observations in accordance with site procedures.
