Job Description As a Security Guard - Armed Roving Driver in Lumberton, NC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will conduct routine patrols and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, while providing strong customer service and clear communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license, supporting mobile patrol coverage as needed. What You'll Do: Provide customer service to personnel and visitors at a government corrections location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities. Conduct armed foot and/or vehicle patrols of assigned areas, including buildings, grounds, parking areas and perimeter points, documenting observations and unusual conditions. Respond to incidents, alarms and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site personnel and public agencies as required. Control access at designated posts by verifying identification, authorizations and/or visitor logs, while helping to deter unauthorized entry and contraband activity. Complete detailed reports and shift documentation, including patrol logs, incident reports and equipment checks, and communicate status updates to supervision. Minimum Requirements: Be at least 21 years of age. A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. An armed guard card/license is preferred. A valid firearms permit is preferred. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
