As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps reduce security-related incidents. You will support access control and respond to calls for service, while delivering strong customer service and clear communication. Requirements

  • Have 1+ years' armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of common areas, tenant corridors, parking areas, loading docks, and the property perimeter to help to identify unusual conditions, unsecured access points, and policy concerns.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with access control issues, disturbances, and medical calls, and coordinating with property management and/or public responders as needed.
  • Monitor and document security-related activity through observation and routine inspections, completing accurate written reports, incident logs, and shift handoffs.
  • Assist with customer requests and service calls such as providing directions, supporting move-ins and/or deliveries per site procedures, and helping to maintain orderly access to the location.
