As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol a retail or mall location, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a visible presence. You will interact with visitors and staff, deliver exceptional customer service, and respond to situations as needed. This is an armed post, and you will represent our values of agility, reliability, and teamwork while acting with integrity and putting people first.

Requirements

Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Possess a Level III armed certification in Texas.
An armed guard card or license is preferred.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing appropriate de-escalation and intervention techniques as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail or mall location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and maintain a visible Allied Universal presence.
Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help to deter theft, vandalism, and/or other prohibited activities.
Maintain accurate and detailed records of patrols, incidents, and observations as required by site-specific procedures.
Collaborate with local law enforcement or emergency personnel when necessary, following established protocols.
Operate and maintain assigned security-related equipment, including firearms, in accordance with company and site-specific guidelines.
Provide assistance and direction to visitors, tenants, and/or employees as needed, fostering a welcoming and secure environment.
