Job Description As a Security Guard - Armed Patrol Driver Retail in Spring, TX , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol retail locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while delivering outstanding customer service. This is an armed and driving post where your presence and professionalism contribute to a secure environment. You will engage with people throughout your shift, uphold Allied Universal's values of integrity, teamwork, and innovation, and play a key role in supporting a welcoming atmosphere for everyone on site.

Requirements

  • Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
  • Have at least 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a Level III armed certification if applying in Texas.
  • Have at least 5 years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding appropriately to emergency situations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, helping to maintain order and support the needs of the location.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and promote a secure environment.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel and/or Allied Universal management.
  • Assist with access control and monitor entrances and exits to help to deter unauthorized entry.
  • Collaborate with store management and staff to address security-related issues as they arise.
  • Complete required reports and documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
