About The Position

As a Security Guard - Armed Patrol Driver in Denver, CO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As an armed Patrol Officer supporting a critical utilities location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to alarms and service calls with calm, clear communication. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Applicants must have 1 or more years of armed security, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utilities location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications, coordinating with on-site personnel and/or first responders, and documenting actions taken.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, operational areas, grounds, and perimeter fencing to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Control access to restricted areas by verifying credentials, screening visitors and contractors, managing keys and/or badges as assigned, and maintaining accurate entry and exit logs.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and other site systems as assigned, report unusual conditions, complete detailed incident reports, and communicate promptly with supervision and/or client representatives.
