About The Position

As a Security Guard - Armed Patrol Driver Government in Houston, TX , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal in a government location, you will conduct routine patrols to help deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment. This is an armed and driving post, requiring you to remain visible throughout the location, respond to incidents, and provide outstanding customer service. Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
An armed guard card or license is required.
At least six months of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience is required.
Level III armed certification is required for positions in Texas only.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
Monitor for unusual activity and report findings according to established protocols.
Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter potential threats and provide reassurance to staff and visitors.
Complete required documentation and incident reports accurately and promptly.
Adhere to all Allied Universal policies and procedures while performing assigned duties at the government location.
Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services as needed during incidents.
Remain alert and prepared to respond to evolving situations in a professional manner.
