As an Armed Patrol Officer at a retail location, you will conduct regular patrols and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents and provide peace of mind to customers and staff. This armed post requires exceptional customer service and communication. Requirements

Possess an armed guard card or license.
Possess a Level III armed certification for Texas roles only.
CPR certification is preferred.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, taking appropriate action as required.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
Monitor entrances, exits, and other critical areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious behavior.
Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and Allied Universal management regarding incidents and site conditions.
Document incidents, observations, and activities as required by site-specific policies and Allied Universal standards.
Assist with access control and/or crowd management as needed during peak hours or special events at the location.
Remain alert and prepared to respond to emergencies or requests for assistance in a timely manner.
