About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Mall Patrol in Temple, TX , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol retail locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing a visible presence. Requirements

Be at least 21 years of age.
Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

An armed guard card or license is preferred.
A baton certification is preferred.
A handcuffing certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining composure under pressure.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.
Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to help to deter theft, vandalism, and/or other unwanted activity.
Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter unauthorized behavior and provide assistance to staff and visitors.
Document observations, incidents, and/or suspicious activities according to Allied Universal and client site procedures.
Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency services as required during incidents or emergencies.
Carry a firearm in accordance with company policies, training, and all applicable laws and regulations, maintaining readiness to respond to critical situations.
