Requirements

Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
Possess an armed guard card or license.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
Observe and report any suspicious activity or security-related incidents in accordance with Allied Universal policies.
Maintain a visible presence to help to deter unwanted behaviors and provide assistance to employees, visitors, and/or members of the public as needed.
Carry and responsibly handle authorized firearms in accordance with training and company policy, adhering to all legal and procedural requirements.
Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency personnel when required during incidents on site.
Complete detailed and accurate reports of incidents, observations, and/or activities during shifts.
