About The Position

As a Security Guard - Armed Patrol Specialist in Clinton, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and responding swiftly to situations as they arise. This post requires both driving and carrying a firearm as part of your daily responsibilities. You will interact with the public and staff, providing outstanding customer service while upholding our values of integrity, teamwork, and a people-first approach.

Requirements

Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
An armed guard card or license is preferred.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the assigned government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
Monitor for and report any irregularities, such as security breaches, hazards, or unusual activity.
Maintain a visible presence while on patrol to help to deter potential incidents and provide reassurance to staff and visitors.
Interact professionally with staff, visitors, and/or contractors, addressing inquiries and providing assistance as appropriate.
Document and communicate all incidents, observations, and activities according to Allied Universal and site-specific procedures.
Carry and maintain proficiency with assigned firearms and adhere to all applicable regulations and company policies regarding armed patrols.
