Job Description As a Security Guard - Armed Patrol Specialist in Polkton, NC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal in a government location, you will perform routine patrols and help to deter security-related incidents. This role is both armed and driving, requiring you to remain visible, respond to incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

Be at least 21 years of age.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
An armed guard card or license is preferred.
A valid firearms permit is preferred.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
Monitor and report any unusual activity, security-related breaches, or hazards within the location.
Maintain a visible presence throughout the assigned area to help to deter potential issues and provide reassurance to staff and visitors.
Follow established protocols for access control, visitor management, and incident reporting.
Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency services as needed in response to incidents.
Remain alert and attentive throughout the shift, adapting to changing environments and conditions as required by the location.
Document all activities, observations, and incidents in accordance with Allied Universal policies and client requirements.
