As an Armed Security Officer supporting a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond professionally to security-related concerns. You will provide outstanding customer service, clear communication, and reliable support while representing Allied Universal’s values of agility, innovation, teamwork, caring, and integrity. An Armed Guard Card or License is required for this armed post.

Requirements

  • Possess a concealed carry weapons permit.
  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Possess a law enforcement officer license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned facilities, public access areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and escalation procedures.
  • Monitor access points and verify authorized entry in accordance with site-specific requirements; report unauthorized access attempts and unusual activity to appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain required armed post qualifications, follow applicable laws and company policies regarding issued equipment, and complete accurate incident reports and daily activity logs.
