Requirements

• Possess a concealed carry weapons permit.
• Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to the public, visitors, and personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, while documenting observations and/or actions taken.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of platforms, stations, entrances, offices, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify concerns.
• Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify credentials when required, and report suspicious behavior, unattended items, and/or policy violations through established protocols.
• Carry authorized duty equipment, including a firearm, and follow post orders, use-of-force guidelines, and applicable laws while supporting security-related operations and/or public assistance needs.
