As a Security Guard - Armed Government Patrols Team in Polkton, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • An armed guard card or license is preferred.
  • A valid firearms permit is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as directed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining professionalism.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the assigned government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor and report any suspicious activity, security-related hazards, or maintenance issues encountered during patrols.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential incidents and foster a sense of security for staff and visitors.
  • Operate communication devices and complete required documentation and incident reports accurately.
  • Follow established protocols for access control and monitor entry and exit points as required by site procedures.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement or emergency responders as necessary during incidents or emergencies.
