As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Armed Response in Fairfax, VA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Requirements

• Have at least 2 or more years of security-related experience.
• Possess a valid armed guard card and/or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including situations that may require an armed presence in accordance with post orders and Allied Universal guidelines.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter grounds to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify potential hazards or unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, report security-related concerns, and document incidents, observations, and/or response actions in a timely manner.
• Support healthcare personnel during high-traffic periods, sensitive situations, and/or emergency events while maintaining professionalism, situational awareness, and respectful interactions.
