About The Position

As a Security Guard Access Control Patrol in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document observations and actions taken according to site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including interior areas, entrances, exits, and perimeter spaces, helping to identify unusual activity and/or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and help to verify that authorized individuals, visitors, and/or vendors are entering designated areas in accordance with site rules and government location requirements.
• Support staff with security-related presence during resident interactions, intake areas, common spaces, and/or high-traffic periods while maintaining professionalism and respect for all individuals on site.
