As a Security Officer Full Time Access Control in Manteno, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a dynamic logistics and distribution location. You will help manage entry points, verify credentials, issue badges, monitor access activity, and provide professional customer service to employees, visitors, and drivers. Maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents while communicating clearly and responding to security-related concerns. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and/or employees by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Monitor and control access to the facility by verifying identification, credentials, visitor authorizations, and/or delivery appointments in accordance with site procedures.
  • Maintain accurate visitor, contractor, driver, and vehicle entry records; issue and collect access credentials as directed by site policies.
  • Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, promptly documenting and reporting relevant information to appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, loading areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
