About The Position

As a Security Officer Emergency Communications Desk in Cumberland, RI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Dispatch Professional in a healthcare location, you will coordinate security-related communications, monitor alarm panels and incoming requests, and dispatch personnel to support timely responses. Requirements

  • Possess at least one year of security-related experience.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, patients, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
  • Receive, prioritize, and dispatch routine and urgent calls for service to appropriate personnel, maintaining clear and professional communication through radio, telephone, and computer-based systems.
  • Monitor security-related systems, alarms, cameras, access activity, and communications; document incidents, service requests, and follow-up actions according to site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating notifications to appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter when assigned, reporting unusual conditions and helping to deter unauthorized activity.
