Job Summary The Aerospace Corporation is seeking a Security Generalist (Security Staff IV/V) to support compliance with NASA, Department of Defense (DoD) directives and policies. This position will serve as the primary point of contact (POC) for all security-related functions in the Aerospace Houston office. Acts as the Corporate Liaison across the Aerospace enterprise for NASA program management and government customers. The selected individual will ensure program security requirements are properly addressed and integrated, while coordinating closely with Enterprise Information Services (EIS) to maintain effective alignment between the Houston Security Office and corporate security systems and initiatives. The selected candidate will be required to work full-time, onsite at our located in Houston, TX.

Requirements

  • Minimum Requirements for Security Staff IV:
  • Bachelor's Degree and 3 or more years of security experience as an FSO/AFSO with FSO Certification.
  • Current TS/SCI eligibility. U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.
  • Experience in processing collateral clearances.
  • Previous experience or knowledge of ICD-705.
  • Working knowledge of personnel security and physical security practices including access control systems, badge management, intrusion detection systems, visitor control, and facility protection protocols.
  • In addition to the above, the minimum requirements for the Security Staff V:
  • Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 6 years of industry security experience as an FSO/AFSO.
  • Experience in industry with co-use and joint-use agreements, documentation, and compliance.
  • Conduct indoctrinations, debriefings, and physical security inspections in compliance with 32 CFR Part 117
  • Working knowledge of government security databases such as DISS, Scattered Castles, TALON, JADE, or CPCI.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's Degree with a minimum of 8 or more years of industry security experience as an FSO/AFSO.
  • Strong understanding of accreditation and inspection readiness for DCSA/SCIF/SAP environments.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement security plans, SOPs, and CONOPS that align with multi-agency (DoD, DOE, NASA, IC, etc.) requirements.
  • Experience managing multi-program or multi-agency facilities, including coordination with multiple Cognizant Security Authorities (CSA) and oversight offices (DCSA, SSC, NRO, etc.).
  • Experience having supported or guided successful government inspections or vulnerability assessments.
  • Experience mentoring or training others in security disciplines, contributing to a culture of compliance, awareness, and operational excellence.
  • Strong ability to interface directly with senior leadership and external government stakeholders to resolve complex security challenges efficiently and professionally.

Responsibilities

  • Interface with all NASA Centers and NASA Systems to provide on-boarding / off-boarding of Aerospace employees working with NASA Centers, including verification and submittal of IDMax processes
  • Working with the NASA Center security POCs to codify and communicate security processes between NASA and Aerospace
  • Responsible for tracking Government Furnished Equipment provided by NASA to Aerospace employees
  • Aerospace Houston Security and Facility Liaison Management
  • Responsible for clearance processing for NASA Programs Division personnel with NASA and other government agencies
  • Providing monthly reporting of key security metrics in support of the NASA Programs Division
  • Administers, executes, and ensures adherence to company and government regulations, policies, and procedures regarding the protection of government programs
  • Overseeing and processing security clearance and access management
  • Conducts self-inspections/audits in compliance with government regulations
  • Leads cross-functional integration efforts across EIS, Security & Safety, Facilities, and Corporate Communications for campus operations in support of Program Office needs, activities, and events.
  • Liaises with service departments, leadership, and site teams to facilitate clear communication and problem-solving.
  • Oversees on-site activities to ensure infrastructure, systems, and security measures are integrated effectively.
  • Oversees integration meetings and provides updates to stakeholders on progress and challenges.
