Requirements

  • Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors by following site-specific access control procedures and other security-related policies at a manufacturing and industrial location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor authorization, and document arrivals, departures, and other access-related activity.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate observations to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and identify conditions that may require a security-related response.
  • Support emergency response activities when appropriate, including directing foot traffic, assisting with access restrictions, and following post orders during critical situations.
