About The Position

Esperanza Health Center has three sites: Hunting Park, K&A and 5th Street. This position requires moving among the three sites. SUMMARY: The Front Entrance and Security Coordinator is responsible for providing: 1) customer service at Hunting Park, K&A and 5th Street front entrances as assigned, 2) security services throughout the facility as assigned, and 3) operational support services. The Front Entrance and Security Coordinator position may be covered by two or more shifts that provide front entrance services between 8 a.m. – 7 p.m. and approximately 60 hours per month of evening coverage until 9 p.m.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Profession of Christian faith.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • Ability or willingness to learn how to effectively deal with agitated people and emergency situations.
  • Knowledge or willingness to learn basic building security procedures.
  • Friendly, helpful, and energetic.
  • Able to manage administrative tasks, work orders, and scheduling.
  • Able to integrate personal faith in Jesus Christ with work at EHC.

Responsibilities

  • Providing customer service, security and operation support at the the front entrance.
  • Receive patients and guest through verbal greeting and active assistance as needed in ways that fulfill Esperanza’s mission, including spiritual encouragement, sharing the gospel, prayer, etc.
  • Act as a resource person for patients and guests on Esperanza healthcare services, operations, and community outreach activities.
  • Monitor activities and needs at the front entrance, answering questions, monitoring phlebotomy sign-in process, and assisting patients and guests, as needed.
  • Call staff members to the front entrance when their guests have arrived.
  • Direct patients and guests around the facility as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and uncluttered front desk and entrance.
  • Watch and respond to issues as seen on the TV monitors and observation from the front desk, per established protocols.
  • Conduct surveillances as directed of parking lots, sidewalk, and exterior and interior of the facility; respond to issues per established protocols.
  • Work with the Associate Operations Director and Environmental Services Supervisor to ensure that patients and guests can drive and walk safely into the facility.
  • Provide evening security services as scheduled.
  • Open and close parking lot gates as scheduled.
  • Oversee shipping and receiving per established protocols.
  • Order supplies, schedule maintenance and service calls, meet with maintenance and service workers while they are at the facility, in coordination with the Associate Operations Director and Environmental Services Supervisor.
  • Provide light cleaning and upkeep during the day, inside and outside of the facility.
  • Assist with setting up rooms and moving furniture and supplies as needed.
  • Work on operational projects as directed.
