As an Allied Universal Access Control Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage visitor and vehicle check-in, and maintain access logs. You will conduct routine patrols as assigned, stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and communicate clearly with team members and site personnel. Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Control access at employee, visitor, and contractor entry points by verifying identification, managing sign-in logs, issuing temporary credentials as directed, and directing authorized persons to the proper areas.
  • Manage vehicle and delivery access by coordinating driver check-in and/or check-out, verifying appointment or shipping documentation as required by site policy, and communicating with site contacts for routing instructions.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and actions taken and promptly notifying site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility, loading areas, and perimeter, and report hazards, suspicious activity, and policy violations according to site procedures.
