Security Officer - Front Entrance Control
About The Position
As a Security Officer - Front Entrance Control in Gardner, KS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a busy manufacturing and industrial location, you will greet employees and visitors, verify credentials, manage badge access, and document security-related activity. You will conduct routine rounds, stay highly visible to help deter incidents, and respond to requests with clear communication and customer service. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Customer Service Experience is preferred.
- CPR/First Aid is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to personnel, contractors, and visitors at an industrial manufacturing location by following site-specific access control procedures and Allied Universal policies.
- Control entry and exit at gates and/or lobbies by checking identification and credentials, issuing temporary badges when authorized, maintaining visitor logs, and directing deliveries to designated areas.
- Monitor cameras, alarms, and access control systems; report irregular activity and complete security-related documentation in accordance with post orders.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or emergency services as directed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, warehouses, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and to identify hazards or policy violations for reporting.
