As a Security Officer Full Time Bicycle Patrol Driver in Cary, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a driving unarmed patrol officer at a public school location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine vehicle and bicycle patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. You will deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication while responding to security-related concerns. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Must be able to ride a bike.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and school community members while carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of school buildings, grounds, parking areas, bus zones, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and potential hazards.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with established school procedures, reporting unauthorized access or suspicious behavior to appropriate personnel.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical events, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and contacting emergency services and/or school personnel as appropriate.
  • Prepare accurate activity, incident, and shift reports, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and designated site contacts.
