Security Flex Officer
About The Position
This position is for an on-call Security Flex Officer who will be required to work at various locations in San Jose, Sunnyvale, Fremont, Redwood City, Palo Alto, and Hayward. The role involves securing events, public and private sites, and parties, as well as performing patrols to check for irregularities and unsafe conditions. The officer must be available for holidays and weekends, and respond to all alarm and emergency incidents. This role may also involve mobile patrol, dealing with homeless individuals, and utilizing TrackTik scans. The officer must be able to pick up shifts as needed, with failure to do so potentially resulting in removal from the flex role, rate change, and/or termination.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older
- Must have a current BSIS Security Guard Card License
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to patrol outdoors in different weather conditions
- Excellent report-writing skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Professional attitude
- Ability to pass an extensive background screening process by Creative Security and the client
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen
- Get called in 1 week, 1 day, 1 hour before shift.

Responsibilities
- Observe and report activities and incidents at the client site
- Securing events, coverage, public and private sites, and parties
- Carry out instructions as documented in site Post Orders
- Makes periodic patrols to check for irregularities and to inspect protection devices and fire control equipment
- Patrols assigned site on foot; checks for unsafe conditions, hazards, unlocked doors, security violations, blocked entrances and exits, mechanical problems, and unauthorized persons
- Will make 911 and emergency calls
- Have to deal with homeless individuals
- Responds to all alarm and emergency incidents
- Prepares logs and reports as required
- Utilizing TrackTik scans throughout the site
- Other duties as assigned
