About The Position

United Protective Services is hiring dependable and professional Security Flex Officers in the North Houston area. This position is ideal for someone who is comfortable working different shifts and locations and wants the opportunity to earn a higher rate of pay while gaining experience across multiple security assignments. Flex Officers receive a higher pay rate because of the flexibility required to support multiple locations and shifts. This is a flex position with a higher-than-average pay rate because of the availability and flexibility required. Flex Officers play an important role in keeping our sites fully staffed and supporting our clients when coverage is needed.

Requirements

Must have flexible availability, including the ability to work days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Reliable transportation and the ability to report to different assigned locations.
Professional appearance, attitude, and communication skills.
Strong attendance, punctuality, and dependability.
Ability to remain calm, use good judgment, and handle changing assignments.

Nice To Haves

Prior security experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Cover open shifts and assignments based on operational needs.
Maintain a visible security presence through foot patrols and site monitoring.
Respond to incidents and emergencies in a calm and professional manner.
Provide professional customer service to clients, tenants, employees, and visitors.
Complete accurate daily activity and incident reports.
Communicate effectively with supervisors, clients, law enforcement, and emergency personnel.
Maintain assigned equipment and ensure it is properly used and accounted for.
Follow all company and site-specific policies and procedures.
