About The Position

The Kansas City National Security Campus (KCNSC), managed and operated by Honeywell Federal Manufacturing & Technologies, is a premier advanced manufacturing facility that supports the safety, security, reliability and effectiveness of our nation's nuclear deterrent. This is an unarmed security escort role. It maintains security measures and rules for the protection of classified matter and personnel within areas of responsibility to preclude unauthorized access, conversion, theft or intentional destruction.

Requirements

• US Citizen in order to obtain US Security Clearance
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year experience with law enforcement, security operations, or applicable military experience
• Must maintain a valid state driver's license.
• Applicants must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE Q-level security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE Q-level security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Performs assigned tasks from instructions, established policies and procedures.
• Safeguards the organizations physical assets and perimeter at assigned work locations.
• Provides security protection for classified matter within areas of responsibility to preclude unauthorized access.
• Calls for protective force officers in case of security incidents and emergency situations.
• Performs escort duties as directed.
• Controls access for personnel and vehicular traffic entering and exiting assigned work locations.
• Visually inspects assigned work locations to prevent any hazards, and ensures proper safety procedures are followed.
• Maintains knowledge of specific requirements pertaining to assigned duties.
