About The Position

Enforces application security in all phases of the software development life cycle. Works closely with team members to define application security best practices, performs software architecture and design reviews, and supports the identification, interpretation, and remediation of vulnerabilities across a variety of applications, programming languages, and platforms. Provides support for the implementation and integration of Okta identity services within federal environments. Responsible for configuring authentication, authorization, MFA, and application onboarding. Supports user provisioning, federation setup, and secure access workflows for cloud and on‑premises systems. Works closely with cybersecurity, infrastructure, and application teams to ensure identity integrations meet federal security expectations and align with Zero Trust principles.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or other Engineering or Technical discipline or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 5-7 years of experience in a relevant field.
  • Experience configuring Okta components such as SSO, MFA, and application integrations.
  • Understanding of SAML, OIDC, and other identity federation standards.
  • Ability to onboard enterprise applications into Okta.
  • Familiarity with identity lifecycle processes such as provisioning, de‑provisioning, and access management.
  • General understanding of federal identity/security expectations (least privilege, audit readiness, secure authentication).

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s Degree preferred.
  • Experience modernizing identity services for federal agencies.
  • Hands‑on experience integrating Okta with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, M365).
  • Familiarity with Zero Trust identity architectures.
  • Ability to automate identity workflows or configurations using scripts or orchestration tools.
