Security Engineer, Corp IT

FluidstackAustin, TX
$218,000 - $252,000

About The Position

Fluidstack is seeking a Security Engineer to secure the corporate environment end to end, including identity, endpoints, SaaS, and email for a rapidly growing workforce. The role involves building detection and response capabilities for the corporate attack surface, addressing threats from phishing to token theft to insider risk. A key responsibility is engineering zero-trust access, including SSO, device trust, and least-privilege provisioning that can scale with hiring. The position emphasizes automating controls so that security operates as code and policy, rather than relying on tickets and exceptions. This role is crucial for securing the frontier of AI, protecting valuable model weights and infrastructure as the company scales across continents.

Requirements

  • Secured a fast-growing company's corp stack hands-on: IdP, MDM, email, SaaS.
  • Built detections that caught real attacks, and tuned out the noise that buries teams.
  • Treated identity as the perimeter and have implemented that in practice.
  • Automate anything you do twice, in code, not runbooks.
  • Responded to live incidents and made the containment call under pressure.

Nice To Haves

  • Okta or equivalent at depth.
  • SIEM and SOAR engineering.
  • macOS and Windows fleet security.
  • Insider-risk programs.
