About The Position

Titan Security is seeking a Security Dock Supervisor to oversee operations in the Dock Area of a commercial office building. This role reports directly to Titan Management and is responsible for ensuring high-quality security services to protect people and property. The supervisor will handle escalated security issues, develop staff skills, and coordinate training. They will also reconcile logs, review incident reports, develop operational procedures, and train staff on post instructions. Key duties include monitoring inbound/outbound deliveries, verifying credentials, coordinating with building management, enforcing access control, monitoring CCTV and alarm systems, responding to incidents, maintaining logs, and providing excellent customer service. The role requires the ability to stand/sit/walk for extended periods and assist tenants and visitors.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • 3 years of prior satisfactory employment as a security officer or directly related experience
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Valid Security License if required by state
  • Valid driver’s license in good standing
  • Must have the ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check
  • Must maintain a working telephone number through which we can contact you
  • Candidates must be able to stand for extended periods of time
  • Be able to lift, push, and/or pull at least 50 lbs.
  • Be able to accommodate foot patrols on the interior & exterior of the assigned facility
  • Be able to perform assigned duties regardless of inclement weather

Responsibilities

  • Supervise operations in the Dock Area of a commercial office building
  • Report directly to Titan Management
  • Ensure the Client Site is provided with high-quality security services to protect people and property
  • Handle all escalated security issues or emergency situations appropriately
  • Develop staff in both technical and professional skills through performance management (coaching, recognition, etc.)
  • Provide the basis of a great work environment by treating staff with respect
  • Assist in the Coordination and/or conduct site-specific “on-the-job training,” client-specific training, and annual refresher training for staff by adhering to Titan’s training standards
  • Reconcile logs, shift responsibilities, and patrols; review incident reports prior to submitting them to the Site Supervisor and/or Director and coordinate preliminary investigations
  • Develop/maintain operational procedures and post orders that are always available for emergency reference by staff
  • Train and qualify to work the assigned post. Understand the specific and general post instructions for that assigned post. Maintain practical knowledge of all additional and emergency post instructions that are called for by the client
  • Monitor all inbound and outbound deliveries, ensuring proper documentation and authorization
  • Verify credentials of vendors, contractors, and delivery drivers
  • Coordinate with building management, tenants, and operations teams regarding dock activity
  • Enforce access control procedures for the loading dock and service corridors
  • Monitor CCTV systems and alarm systems related to dock operations
  • Respond to incidents, emergencies, and policy violations in a timely and professional manner
  • Maintain accurate daily activity logs, incident reports, and shipping/receiving documentation
  • Assist tenants and visitors with directions and general business information
  • Clearly and accurately record data such as property damage, unusual occurrences, and malfunctioning of equipment, to building and Titan management
  • Maintain clear, accurate logs pertaining to people or property including packages
  • Provide excellent Customer Service to all parties encountered while on duty
