The Aerospace Enterprise Protection and Resilience organization provides quality leadership, services and solutions to safeguard people and the environment, secure and protect company information and assets and enhance operational efficiency. Working as the Security Director, I nformation Assurance , you will oversee the activities of the Information Assurance, COMSEC and Special Access Programs (SAP) departments related to the safeguarding and processing of classified information on Aerospace-owned information systems. This position is responsible for working with Department of War (DoW), Intelligence Community (IC) and Special Access Programs (SAP) and will support Aerospace customers within classified environments. The selected candidate will be required to work full-time, on-site at our facility in El Segundo, CA.

Requirements

  • Typically, 8 or more years of relevant experience with Bachelor’s degree (i.e. Collateral information security, Information Assurance and or Cyber Security)
  • DoD 8570/8140 IAM Level III Certification (CISSP, GSLC)
  • 5+ years of personnel and program management experience, including supervision of multidisciplinary security teams, budget oversight, and strategic planning
  • Comprehensive COMSEC expertise, including key management, cryptographic device lifecycle management)
  • Experience and technical application of the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process, as it applies to assessment and authorization of collateral information systems
  • Experience with the RMF System submission for ATO’s
  • This position requires an active Top Secret/SCI security clearance, which is issued by the US government.
  • U.S. citizenship is required to obtain and maintain a security clearance

Nice To Haves

  • 12 or more years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s Degree
  • Special Access Program (SAP) experience, including familiarity with SAP security protocols, indoctrination procedures, and compartmented information handling requirements
  • COMSEC program management experience, including cryptographic key management, and compliance with security policies and procedures
  • Classified IT architecture experience, with demonstrated knowledge of secure network design, cross-domain solutions, and accreditation processes for classified systems

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the Assessment and Authorization, Continuous Monitoring, and the overall Accreditation of classified systems in El Segundo and other operating locations, as necessary
  • Conducts system reviews to ensure ongoing systems compliance
  • Interacts with all levels of management, technical staff and government representatives to ensure Information Assurance (IA) requirements are properly implemented and followed
  • Communicates and identifies new IA regulations and requirements
  • Contributes to and translates complex organization objectives into solutions which meet security strategic intent and technical compliance
  • Will work on-campus alongside staff to review, develop and implement security plans for new and existing computer systems, in order to achieve assessment and authorization
  • Coordinates information security tests, reviews and inspections of corporate systems
  • Oversees US government customer inspections in El Segundo and other operating locations, as necessary
  • Establishes and maintains an effective security awareness and education program
  • Participates in investigations of actual or suspected security violations
  • Oversees corporate response to data spill remediation steps and reports results of such incidents/investigations to appropriate customer security representatives
  • Trains and mentors new staff members to ensure operational readiness and knowledge transfer
  • Develops, interprets, and enforces policies, processes, and procedures governing collateral information systems
  • Serves as the primary security liaison between the program and Mission IT organization
  • Manages and oversees the Enterprise COMSEC program
