About The Position

Allied Universal is Hiring Custom Protections Officers at Jefferson Hospital. This is a full-time position with a pay rate of $19.00 per hour. Available shifts are 5:00 AM-1:00 PM, 1:00 PM-9:00 PM, 3:00 PM-11:00 PM, and 11:00 PM-7:00 AM, with up to 40 hours per week, including weekends. Custom Protection Officers will serve and safeguard clients in various industries, including Healthcare. The role may involve assisting nursing staff with patient restraints and escorting staff to the hospital morgue with deceased patients. Frequent walking/standing is required, along with moderate technological usage. Multiple vaccinations are required prior to working on site, including a two-stage Tuberculosis screening, MMR, Varicella, and Tetanus screenings. A child abuse clearance will also be submitted. Allied Universal officers are paid weekly, provided with uniforms and equipment at no cost, and offered excellent benefits, career progression, and paid training.

Requirements

Be at least 21+ Years of Age
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience
Must possess two or more of the following: Service in Military Occupational Specialty related to law enforcement, security (such as Military Police, Elite Military Forces, combat arms) or any support role in a Combat Zone
Graduate of a Certified Public Safety Academy (military or civilian) or verified work experience in the law enforcement, adult corrections, or firefighter field
Bachelor’s degree in law enforcement or criminal justice related studies
A minimum of 8 or more years of service in any military branch
Associate’s degree (or 60 credits) or higher in law enforcement or criminal justice with current or prior active military service
Frequent walking/standing required (indoor/outdoor)
Moderate technological usage required
Multiple vaccinations are required prior to working on site (company paid) including: two-stage Tuberculosis screening, MMR, Varicella, Tetanus screenings (TB testing instructions provided at orientation)
Child abuse clearance will be submitted at orientation
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only

Responsibilities

Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle
Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards
Sound alarms or calls police or fire department in case of fire or presence of unauthorized persons
Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out safety and security procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem solving manner
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site
