About The Position

To assist the Security Sergeant with overall supervision of the shift. Areas of responsibility include, but not limited to: protection of hotel assets, associates, guests and property; accident and fire prevention and response; ensures that all areas of the Resort are safe and secure; maintains logs, certifications, and documents required by law and procedures; Strives to continually improve guest and associate satisfaction. Adheres to all Company, Safety and Department policies and procedures. Fosters team work and provides excellent guest service, anticipates guest needs to exceed guest expectations. Builds brand loyalty by living the Core Values.

Requirements

  • Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age.
  • Must be literate and able to communicate in English when dealing with staff and guests.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Must possess the ability to write incident reports and effectively present information in a one-on-one and small group situation to guests and other associates of the Company.
  • Must possess the ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Good guest service skills required.
  • Good working knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and remain calm in a stressful environment.
  • Ability to work varied hours/days, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Valid Nevada Gaming Registration
  • Valid Nevada Driver’s License
  • Current Alcohol Awareness Training Card (TAM)

Responsibilities

  • Static and core duty is to observe health and safety conditions of the property and report proactively during inspections of all areas as continuously as possible to deter and prevent all property deficiencies, associate breaking of company policy and any incident/occurrence.
  • React accordingly and assist all occupant safety during all Life Safety situations, whether caused by Fire, Environmental, Terrorist, Medical or Criminal Action.
  • Observe, report and protect all gaming floor activities and all cash movements.
  • Displays leadership in guest hospitality, exemplifies excellent guest service and creates a positive atmosphere for guest relations.
  • Report to the designated Security Supervisor and the Manager on Duty and is expected to respond to valid assistance requests.
  • Know who the on-duty Department Managers are and know that these Managers are the lead representative and ultimate decision makers involving all hotel and casino guest issues.
  • Report to designated Managers during shift and regularly communicate throughout the shift to ensure communication channel is active.
  • Pass on all relevant information as soon as possible to department specific Managers to keep them informed and for follow-up with guests or associates.
  • Be aware of all Leadership team members and Ownership group and follow all direct instructions delivered by them, logging the event after completing directive.
  • Assist in issuing Official Trespass notifications to the Resort (86). All Trespass Notifications MUST involve designated department manager or approval from the General Manager.
  • Be familiar with all handbook policies.
  • Set the correct example for all other associates.
