About The Position

Northrop Grumman's Space Sector is seeking a Security Coordinator – Level 3 or Level 4 located in Chantilly, VA. This position is 100% onsite and requires an active U.S. Government Top-Secret security clearance. The role involves coordinating daily security activities supporting classified programs, processing personnel security actions, maintaining security records, and supporting government inspections. The ideal candidate will have outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to maintain confidentiality, and the capacity to work independently with minimal supervision. This position requires exceptional teamwork, proactivity, organization, and attention to detail, with the ability to manage schedule conflicts and prioritize tasks with competing deadlines.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent and 4 years additional education and/or related experience (for Level 3) or 6 years additional education and/or related experience (for Level 4)
  • Requires an active U.S. Government Top-Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with the ability to obtain and maintain SCI and Program approval/access
  • Strong working knowledge of basic office automation tool suites such as MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Demonstrated, relevant security experience with industrial security programs within the Intelligence Community
  • U.S. Citizenship is required

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily security activities supporting classified programs
  • Process personnel security actions including indoctrinations, debriefings, visit requests, and access requests
  • Maintain security records and databases (e.g., SIMS, DISS, or other government/company systems)
  • Coordinate with CSSOs, Program Managers, Security Managers, and government customers to resolve discrepancies
  • Support government inspections, internal audits, and compliance reviews
  • Maintain security metrics and develop reports for leadership
  • Assist with security education and awareness initiatives
  • Prepare correspondence, briefing materials, standard operating procedures (SOPs), job aids, and process documentation
  • Support classified meetings, visitor control, and security logistics.
  • Ensure compliance with NISPOM, DoD SAP guidance, Intelligence Community directives, and company policies
  • Identify opportunities to improve security processes and customer experience
  • Other duties as assigned
