About The Position

Under close supervision, performs work of routine difficulty in monitoring the detention security environment. This position has department-specific responsibility within the Sheriff's Office in Yuma County. The role involves monitoring the safety and security of the detention center, performing routine electronic and video surveillance of security staff and prisoners, maintaining detention records and reports, performing routine clerical duties, and other assigned duties.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Must successfully complete a minimum of forty hours of detention training
• Must possess and maintain a valid Arizona driver’s license
• May be required to successfully complete a background check, polygraph, and drug test prior to appointment
