About The Position

E-logic is seeking a technologically proficient Security Control Center (SCC) Guard to oversee the advanced systems monitoring, access control networks, and emergency dispatch communications for a high-security Level III U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) Earth Resources Observation and Science (EROS) Center Level III Center campus. This critical role requires leveraging specialized knowledge of automated building controls, closed-circuit television (CCTV) arrays, and intrusion detection systems to optimize real-time situational awareness, minimize response latencies, and provide definitive, high-level data logging directly to the agency's digital guard blotter.

Requirements

  • Guard II status with valid 9MM firearms qualification.
  • Demonstrated technical knowledge and experience working with Building Automation Systems (BAS), such as Honeywell Home and Building Controls.
  • High proficiency in multi-tasking and navigating complex software applications.
  • Exceptional communication skills for emergency dispatching.
  • Requires background check clearance for an NSI Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor multiple screens, automated closed-circuit television (CCTV) systems, and interior intrusion detection grids.
  • Manage computer-based door access control alarms and building automation safety alarms.
  • Contact external emergency responders (police, fire, medical) immediately during crises.
  • Maintain access logs, emergency information, keys, and Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
  • Ensure proper entry of data into the electronic USGS/EROS Guard Blotter.
