About The Position

We are seeking a mid-level Security Control Assessor to join our team in Oak Ridge, TN. This role will involve actively contributing to the protection of critical infrastructure and data within the Y-12 National Security Complex. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, threat analysis, and risk mitigation strategies. A high level of expertise in managing cyber defense operations and compliance with federal security requirements is essential for this role. Candidates must possess an active Q clearance (TS/SCI also accepted). Employment for this position is contingent upon customer acceptance and successful security crossover. Final selection, start date, and offer of employment are subject to contract terms and client approval.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Cybersecurity, or related field and five (5) years of relevant experience. Five (5) years of relevant experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree
  • Active Q clearance required (TS/SCI accepted)

Responsibilities

  • Experience in cybersecurity analysis, incident response, and vulnerability management
  • Strong knowledge of NIST SP 800-53, 800-37, CNSSI 1253, risk management frameworks, and other relevant cybersecurity policies and standards
  • Proven ability to analyze and mitigate cybersecurity threats and incidents
  • Experience with security information and event management (SIEM) tools, network traffic analysis, and security audits
  • Demonstrated experience with change management; assessing and monitoring of proposed system changes to security posture
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Demonstrates professionalism, patience, and diplomacy in interactions with colleagues, customers, and partners
  • Self-starter who shows initiative without waiting to be directed
  • Strong desire to learn and grow both technically and professionally
  • Experience as part of a team translating customer technical design requirements into deliverables
  • Experience tracking and managing POA&Ms
  • Demonstrated experience developing and delivering System Security Plans
