About The Position

The Security Community Management Lead is the connective tissue between corporate strategy and field execution within Microsoft's Security Solution Area. This individual contributor role leads and manages engagement across our Security field communities, ensuring that managers and their teams receive timely, relevant, and actionable information that helps drive business outcomes and fiscal-year priorities. Operating at the intersection of strategy, communications, and enablement, the role designs and runs the engagement systems — communities, forums, events, and channels — that keep the field informed and ready. It calls for someone who can translate complexity into clarity, build trust across many organizations, and sustain a consistent rhythm of engagement that turns corporate objectives into coordinated field action. The role serves Security field manager and individual contributor populations, with a primary focus on Security Specialist Individual Contributors (ICs), Security Managers and Cloud Solution Architect (CSA) Managers. Success depends on deep collaboration with partner teams and a relentless focus on the needs of the field and the customers they serve. Candidates who live within 50 miles of Microsoft's Redmond campus will be required to work in the office 3 days per week. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Engineering, or related field AND 4+ years experience in business consulting, sales, sales operations, information technology (IT), account management, business development, marketing, IT field sales, or a related field OR equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years experience in in Near Term Strategy (1-2 years out), Management Consulting, or Finance.

Nice To Haves

  • 3+ years of experience in the cybersecurity industry as a practitioner, seller, marketer, or financial analyst.
  • Stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills, with a demonstrated ability to work across business, technical, and operational teams.
  • Experience with written, verbal, and executive communication.
  • Experience creating engagement strategies, communications programs, and adoption campaigns.
  • Ability to analyze qualitative and quantitative feedback to identify insights and drive continuous improvement.
  • Ability to operate independently, manage ambiguity, and prioritize across competing demands in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
  • Experience supporting field, seller, or partner communities within a large, matrixed technology organization.

Responsibilities

  • Design and execute a comprehensive community management strategy for Security field manager and individual contributor (IC) populations.
  • Build engagement plans that increase awareness, readiness, and adoption of Security Solution Area priorities, programs, and initiatives.
  • Partner closely with Business Architecture, Skilling, Programs, Operations, Marketing, and Technical leadership teams to identify and curate content and priorities for the community.
  • Translate complex business, technical, and operational priorities into clear communications, community discussions, and action-oriented guidance.
  • Drive alignment between corporate objectives and field execution by maintaining a consistent rhythm of engagement activities.
  • Manage virtual communities, events, leadership forums, communications channels, and feedback mechanisms.
  • Gather, analyze, and synthesize feedback from community members to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and improvement areas.
  • Develop success metrics and reporting mechanisms to measure community health, engagement, readiness, and business impact.
  • Influence stakeholders without direct authority and build trusted partnerships across multiple organizations.
  • Support fiscal-year planning, priority execution, organizational readiness, and change management efforts.
