Stanford Medicine Security Services is seeking experienced Security Dispatchers to serve as the operational backbone of a complex healthcare security program supporting a substantial guard force across multiple hospitals, clinics, and facilities throughout the Bay Area. This is not a traditional dispatch position. Security Dispatchers function as real-time operations coordinators responsible for maintaining situational awareness across a fast-paced healthcare environment. From managing critical incidents and deploying field resources to monitoring sophisticated security technologies and coordinating emergency response efforts, Dispatchers play a direct role in protecting patients, visitors, staff, and assets. Successful candidates possess strong critical thinking skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to remain composed while managing multiple competing priorities. They are comfortable operating advanced access control, video surveillance, alarm monitoring, and life safety systems while delivering outstanding customer service and maintaining clear communication with Security Officers, hospital leadership, clinical staff, and public safety partners. The ideal candidate brings 2-5 years of experience in a Security Operations Center, Emergency Communications Center, or a similarly high-volume operational environment. They excel in team-based settings, adapt quickly to changing conditions, and take pride in being the trusted source of information, coordination, and support during both routine operations and critical events.
