About The Position

Marksman Security is seeking a Security Command Center Supervisor (SCC Supervisor) to oversee the continuous operation, integrity, and performance of all life safety and security systems across a 50-acre mixed-use development. This leader will ensure robust control room operations, lead a team of 6 command center specialists, and provide dispatch directions to over 40 security personnel across the property. The SCC Supervisor serves as the operational nexus between technology, people, and emergency response functions, requiring technical expertise, leadership capability, and exceptional judgment. Requirements

  • Deep understanding of enterprise access control platforms (Avigilon or equivalent).
  • Proficiency with VMS platforms (Verkada, Genetec Security Center, Avigilon, etc.).
  • Working knowledge of fire alarm panel operations (Notifier, EST, Siemens, Simplex, or equivalent).
  • Familiarity with elevator recall, overrides, fire service modes, and integration with access control.
  • Mastery in multi-channel dispatching (radio, phone, digital platforms).
  • Ability to apply ICS principles, prioritize threats, and allocate resources effectively.
  • Skill in reviewing CCTV, access logs, and officer statements.
  • Clear, calm, and concise communication style.
  • Experience in writing polished shift summaries, incident reports, and after-action reviews.
  • High situational awareness.
  • Organized and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • High integrity and a strong sense of responsibility.

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years experience in security operations, dispatch centers, or life safety technology environments.
  • Experience in mixed-use, corporate, campus, aviation, stadium, or municipal environments.
  • ASIS (APP, PSP, CPP) certifications.
  • Fire Life Safety Director certifications.
  • CPR/First Aid/AED Instructor certification.
  • System-specific access control or VMS certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the continuous operation, integrity, and performance of all life safety and security systems.
  • Ensure robust control room operations.
  • Lead a team of 6 command center specialists.
  • Provide dispatch directions to 40+ security personnel across the property.
  • Administer credentials, troubleshoot controllers, interpret logs, and maintain door schedules and alarms for access control systems.
  • Configure cameras, monitor analytics triggers, pull evidence, and support investigations for CCTV/Video Management Systems.
  • Interpret fire alarm conditions, communicate with Fire Command, and guide emergency response sequences.
  • Coordinate testing, drills, and impairment procedures for fire alarm and life safety systems.
  • Coordinate with facilities/OT teams for elevator malfunctions or entrapments.
  • Maintain accountability for radios, keys, equipment, PPE, and special-event materials.
  • Use software systems to track, audit, and document asset lifecycle.
  • Perform multi-channel dispatching (radio, phone, digital platforms).
  • Apply ICS principles, prioritize threats, and allocate resources effectively.
  • Coordinate with police, fire, EMS, and property management partners.
  • Review CCTV, access logs, and officer statements for incident investigations.
  • Prepare comprehensive, defensible reports.
  • Brief leadership succinctly and professionally.
  • Communicate clearly, calmly, and concisely, especially under pressure.
  • Write polished shift summaries, incident reports, and after-action reviews.
  • Brief executives, law enforcement, and cross-functional partners.
  • Quickly identify anomalies or potential threats and escalate appropriately.
  • Maintain accurate logs, system entries, schedules, and documentation.
  • Keep the command center clean, controlled, and audit-ready at all times.
  • Make sound decisions during alarms, emergencies, system faults, or high-stress events.
