Security Automation Technician will install, maintain and support security information systems hardware, software, access control systems, automated gates, burglar alarms and CCTV network security systems to ensure the safety of all Division employees/customers. ESSENTIAL DUTIES \: Troubleshoot, repair, and provide new upgrades to Division’s security surveillance systems, burglar alarms, automatic gate access, and card access control systems, Maintain all the controllers for Division’s automated gates, including routine checks on perimeter fencing. Submit reports, videos and documentation, as requested. Serve as liaison between Division and vendor representatives on software and hardware problems related to security automation. Provide technical guidance and assistance concerning software and/or hardware applications and operations. Stay abreast of changes within the computer software and/or hardware fields relating to the security automation spectrum and North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) and Southeastern Electric Reliability Council (SERC) regulations and standards. Operate Division vehicle and computer equipment and other various electrical and electronic components. Perform other duties as directed.
