About The Position

Assist Security Shift Supervisor with ensuring compliance with Illinois Gaming Commission, departmental, and company regulations. This role involves excellent internal/external guest service, supervising and instructing employees on shift in proper performance of job duties to provide for the safety and security of guests, employees, and property. The position also includes training and briefing staff before each shift, maintaining shift schedules, delegating work assignments, reviewing and approving reports and arrests, responding to emergencies, overseeing key security, ensuring officers maintain professionalism, cooperating with law enforcement, assisting security officers with duties, following direction from surveillance, scrutinizing activities to protect company assets, administering drug testing, ensuring cut-off procedures are followed, ensuring Responsible Gaming, and performing other reasonable duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D required
  • 1-2 Years related experience with a minimum of 6 months casino security experience in a supervisory capacity
  • Open availability to work holidays and weekends
  • Able to obtain/maintain necessary licenses and/or certifications as required by local gaming regulations

Responsibilities

  • Assist with Supervising and instructing employees on shift in proper performance of job duties to provide for the safety and security of guests, employees, and property
  • Assist in training and briefing staff before each shift regarding the days’ events and any problems to monitor
  • Maintain shift schedule and delegate work assignments
  • Review and approve all reports written during assigned shift
  • Review and approve all arrests
  • Respond to emergencies and any serious incidents
  • Oversee and maintain key security
  • Ensure officers maintain a high degree of professionalism by adhering to all laws, regulations, departmental policies and procedures, and American Place policies and procedures
  • Cooperate with and coordinate requests for local law enforcement and emergency response agencies
  • Assist security officers with assigned duties when necessary
  • Follow direction of surveillance personnel
  • Closely scrutinize all activities to ensure protection of company assets in accordance with state regulations
  • Properly administer drug testing for post-accident and reasonable suspicion according to company policy
  • Ensure that cut-off procedures are followed
  • Ensure Responsible Gaming and that no minors are allowed to remain on the gaming floor or served alcohol
  • Other reasonable duties as assigned
