Job Description Nexagen Networks is seeking an experienced Security Control Assessor to plan, direct, and coordinate cybersecurity activities in support of USSF programs. This role is responsible for performing cyber security risk analysis, ensuring compliance with DoD, Army, and USSF cybersecurity requirements, and maintaining the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong cyber security leadership experience, deep knowledge of security policies, controls and assessment tools, and the ability to navigate enterprise-level cybersecurity programs within regulated government environments.

Requirements

  • Top Secret Clearance
  • 4-6 years cybersecurity experience
  • Knowledge of hardware and software installation, testing, and operation
  • Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, Domain Name System (DNS)
  • Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS)
  • Understanding of Host-Based Security System (HBSS)
  • Understanding of IP Networking, switches
  • Experience with Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG)
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to reprioritize tasking on short notice and identify & communicate impact of change
  • Quick learner, creative, resourceful, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field is preferred
  • DoD experience preferred or military training
  • DISA certified for Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS)

Responsibilities

  • Perform vulnerability/risk assessment analysis to support Wideband Control software and cybersecurity audits, system accreditation and other program protection activities.
  • Conduct technical evaluation of information system designs, focusing on information security aspects and accreditation.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and maintain systems and procedures to safeguard information systems, networks and databases.
  • Will perform, read and interpret Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG) results.
  • Perform as an Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) administrator.
  • Review of the subsystem cyber related documentation.
  • Travel is required.
