About The Position

The Information Security and Privacy team at Temple University is seeking an experienced and technically strong Security Architect with a deep understanding of enterprise IT infrastructure, systems, networks, cloud technologies, and architecture. This role is responsible for designing, building, testing, and implementing secure technology solutions across the University’s IT environment. The Security Architect will assess existing technology and security architectures, identify risks and areas of weakness, and recommend solutions that strengthen the University’s overall security posture. The position will work closely with Information Technology Services and Schools and Colleges to architect and implement enterprise solutions that meet security, privacy, operational, and business requirements. The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on IT experience and the ability to apply security principles to complex technology environments. This individual should be able to work alongside infrastructure, networking, systems, cloud, application, and other technical teams to develop practical and secure solutions—not simply identify security requirements.
