About The Position

Centrus is seeking an experienced security professional ready to expand their impact in a role central to protecting U.S. national security interests. As a Security Analyst specializing in Export Control Information, you’ll operate at the intersection of technology, international safeguards, and federal security compliance—supporting programs that directly influence global nuclear security. If you’re a cleared or clearance‑eligible professional who enjoys complex regulatory work, engaging with government agencies, and ensuring sensitive information stays secure, this role is built for you.

Requirements

  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain a DOE Q‑Clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in Security, Engineering, Physical Science, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 2 years as a qualified Export Control Reviewer
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. export control regulations and best practices
  • Experience writing clear, actionable technical documents
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Solid proficiency with Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, databases)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with nuclear enrichment equipment or centrifuge technology
  • Prior classification/declassification training
  • Experience handling and safeguarding classified materials

Responsibilities

  • Lead compliance efforts for all Centrus export control activities
  • Serve as a key liaison with DOE, DOS, and DOC on export authorization and 10 CFR Part 810 matters
  • Track, manage, and report on export approvals across the enterprise
  • Conduct security self‑assessments and strengthen program performance
  • Coordinate export control policies across multiple Centrus sites
  • Provide guidance to strategic suppliers and internal partners
  • Maintain expertise in export regulations, IAEA Additional Protocol, and related directives
  • Train and certify ECI Reviewing Officials
  • Assist with investigations, reporting, and documentation for security‑related events
  • Support protection of classified, proprietary, and controlled unclassified information
  • Serve as an alternate FSO, OPSEC Coordinator, or IAEA AP Coordinator when needed
