As a Security Analyst within PNC's Cyber Defense organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA. The Security Analyst will support the Security Intelligence Group (SIG) within PNC’s Global Security Fusion Center by designing, developing, and automating threat intelligence capabilities. This role will act as a developer focused security analyst, enabling forward looking insight into internal and external threats to the bank, its employees, assets, and shareholders. The role emphasizes learning, attention to detail, and hands on contribution to automation, data integration, and executive level intelligence delivery. Requirements

  • Foundational background or strong interest in cyber threat intelligence with an emphasis on automation, integration(s), and data handling.
  • Experience or working knowledge of scripting and data querying using SQL and/or Python.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools, with Power BI strongly preferred (Tableau acceptable).
  • Understanding of or exposure to APIs and integrating data from external sources.
  • Awareness of security technologies such as Threat Intelligence Platforms (TIPs), SIEMs, SOARs, and Microsoft Power Platform capabilities.
  • Strong attention to detail, eagerness to learn, and ability to grow within a highly dynamic cyber defense environment.
  • Customer Focused - Knowledgeable of the values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions and able to leverage that information in creating customized customer solutions.
  • Managing Risk - Assessing and effectively managing all of the risks associated with their business objectives and activities to ensure they adhere to and support PNC's Enterprise Risk Management Framework.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, automate, and enhance data pipelines, tools, and processes supporting Security Intelligence Group operations.
  • Drive continued automation of Fraud Intelligence data, with a planned transition to Technical Intelligence data.
  • Implement and maintain the TSM mnemonic to aggregate and normalize intelligence from multiple vendor API sources using Microsoft Power Platform tools.
  • Support and streamline the end‑to‑end fraud intelligence lifecycle leveraging platforms such as Flashpoint, Netcraft, NCFTA, Recorded Future, and similar vendor tooling.
  • Build and maintain dashboards and reporting solutions, including executive‑level views, to communicate intelligence insights.
  • Respond to high‑priority, time‑sensitive intelligence requests while supporting ongoing business‑as‑usual intelligence operations.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to identify process improvement opportunities and translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.
