About The Position

Vanguard is seeking a Security Analyst to join its Cyber Security Operations Center (CSOC), supporting the Threat Mitigation Team. The role focuses on administering and managing the Zscaler security platform, including Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA), Zscaler Private Access (ZPA), and related cloud security capabilities. Responsibilities include platform administration, security policy management, incident response, troubleshooting, threat detection, and continuous improvement of enterprise security controls. The analyst collaborates with Network Engineering, Infrastructure, Endpoint Management, Incident Response, and other IT and business teams to maintain a secure and reliable enterprise environment. The ideal candidate is a hands-on Zscaler security professional with experience managing ZIA/ZPA configurations, implementing security policies, troubleshooting connectivity and security issues, and investigating threats in an enterprise environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 3 years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or security operations.
• Hands-on experience administering and managing Zscaler platforms.
• Experience configuring and managing security policies in cloud-delivered security environments.
• Experience supporting enterprise-scale networking and security technologies.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and incident investigation skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure security operations environment.

Nice To Haves

• CISSP certification.
• Zscaler Certified Cloud Administrator (ZCCA) certification.
• Zscaler Certified Cloud Professional (ZCCP) certification.
• AWS Certified Security or other relevant cloud security certifications.
• A combination of Zscaler administration, network security, and SOC experience.

Responsibilities

• Administer, configure, monitor, and maintain Zscaler ZIA, ZPA, Cloud Firewall, Advanced Threat Protection (ATP), SSL Inspection, Browser Isolation, and Sandbox services.
• Design, implement, update, and review security policies, evaluating the operational and security impact of changes.
• Independently investigate and resolve escalated security incidents and operational issues in collaboration with Incident Response teams.
• Analyze security logs, network traffic, and multiple data sources to identify malicious activity, vulnerabilities, and emerging threats.
• Support platform upgrades, feature enablement, testing, and ongoing improvements to security configurations and services.
• Collaborate with CSOC, Network Engineering, Infrastructure, Endpoint Management, and business teams on security initiatives.
• Identify complex attack patterns, investigate security events, and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Prepare detailed reports, analyze security trends, and contribute to security research and improvement projects.
• Support and mentor junior team members to strengthen their technical capabilities.
