About The Position

Canvas is seeking a Security Analyst to support the S3I Security Office. The selected candidate will provide security administration and operational support to ensure compliance with Department of Defense (DoD), Army, and organizational security policies and procedures. This position serves as a key resource for government and contractor personnel by supporting personnel security, physical security, access control, classified material handling, and facility security operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline or High School Diploma/GED with four (4) years of relevant security, military, administrative, or related experience.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Perform administrative and clerical duties in support of the Security Office as directed by the Government Lead.
  • Create escorted and non-escorted visitor memorandums for meetings and events.
  • Collect and maintain end-of-month security documentation for open storage areas.
  • Maintain and update combination change memorandums and related security records.
  • Update and maintain Secure Area Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), facility point-of-contact lists, and annual security monitor documentation.
  • Maintain the NSA Approved Products List (APL) and distribute updates as required.
  • Conduct structural integrity inspections of open storage areas.
  • Perform weekly walkthroughs and spot checks of secure areas.
  • Conduct monthly inspections of security containers and open storage areas.
  • Verify daily completion of SF 701 and SF 702 forms and ensure proper documentation of non-duty days and holidays.
  • Perform combination changes for security containers and secure area access points.
  • Conduct key control procedures.
  • Open and close secure areas as required.
  • Complete end-of-day security office procedures and maintain SF 701/702 documentation.
  • Utilize the Defense Information System for Security (DISS) to receive, transmit, and process Visit Authorization Requests (VARs).
  • Verify security clearance eligibility and process visit requests for organizations without DISS access.
  • Support visitor control activities by creating and updating records in the AvMC Integrated Center Information System.
  • Process contractor and civilian badging requests.
  • Submit visitor gate passes as requested.
  • Administer physical access through the LENEL electronic security system by enabling and disabling employee and visitor access, generating reports to support access rosters and point-of-contact lists, and recovering and destroying badges from departing personnel and updating associated records.
  • Provide guidance on the safeguarding, marking, storage, transmission, transportation, and destruction of classified information.
  • Assist with classified document control activities.
  • Verify proper marking and processing of classified mail, including DA Form 3964 validation, control number assignment, and database updates.
  • Assist government and contractor personnel with security-related requirements at Redstone Arsenal.
  • Maintain knowledge of applicable Army regulations and AvMC/S3I security guidance.
  • Complete all required training necessary to perform assigned duties.
